Better Globe Forestry opened their second microfinance bank in Kamuwongo at the end of 2017. Over 600 local residents attended the launch and were there to experience history being made. All residents are those living in an impoverished area and facing challenges such as joblessness, illiteracy, poor health-care facilities, lack of water, and climate change. The village bank is important because it acts as a learning institution for impoverished farmers so they can overcome their financial restraints. It also offers many type of loans, including those for solar panels, school fees, iron sheets, and investment in water infrastructure.
